Rowling tweeted a baseless claim to her millions of followers, suggesting Khelif was a man harming a woman. Musk supported a transphobic post from swimmer Riley Gaines, stating that men should not compete in women’s sports.

Logan Paul, another prominent figure, exacerbated the situation by sharing a false narrative about Khelif, which he later retracted, admitting to spreading misinformation. However, Boudi insists that apologies do not alter the facts of the case or the harm inflicted by such statements.
