Proud TERF Bex was allegedly “ejected” from a Hobbycraft shop after kicking up a fuss at
a staff member. Bex took offense at a staff member wearing a badge that said “No TERFs, No Tories”. I know what you’re thinking – all that calamity over a badge. Bex took no offense at the “No Tories” part so why the freakout?
Looking To Start A Fight!
One may assume it’s because she agrees with the “No Tories” part and perfectly willing to overlook it. This cognitive bias is very typical of TERFs. They go out of their way to look for things to be outraged at. We all remember their outrage over the term uterus-havers or the new Quality Street wrappers – yes chocolate wrappers! Bex and the badge is just the latest example of let’s all be annoyed by something that’s actually not causing any harm. Let’s all make a scene because it doesn’t conform to our very narrow world view.
Virtue Signaling To The TERF Elite
Bex is a regular at TERF rallies. I last encountered her in full “Hate Monster” attire at an anti-trans, Let Women Speak rally in Aberdeen. The irony of her being one who is spreading hate just makes you want to face palm. Her stunt in Hobbycraft has all the hallmarks of a TERF virtue signalling to their cult or “Tervern”. Making an innocent member of staff feel uncomfortable just for wearing a badge is peak Tervern behaviour. Following in the footsteps of other TERFs hassling staff members, think M&S, NHS and various others. She could have just said nothing and complained to the company about it afterwards. But where is the fun in that? It’s all about the spectacle! TERFs want the world to know loud and clear that they won’t accept anything that goes against their “protected beliefs”. Bex simply could not wait to Tweet out what had happened to her baying followers.
What Of The Shop Employee?
Of course Hobbycraft apologised to Bex, no doubt fearing legal reprisal. They have said nothing of protecting/supporting the affected staff member. The bully reaps sympathy while the member of staff (the victim in this farce) has very likely received no support. To may well have been asked to remove their badge. What kind of message does this send out? It teaches me that if you kick up a fuss at a staff member, you get sympathy and your behaviour validated. Surely this is not right? Surely we shouldn’t be validating such behaviour. My thoughts go out to the staff member. Enduring a tirade of over entitled complaining for minimum wage. All the love and solidarity to them.
